Hospital Procedures Consultants is a company dedicated to providing quality, comprehensive, evidence-based procedural education to critical care, emergency medicine and hospitalist clinicians (physicians, advanced practice providers, and students).  The founders and lead instructors, Drs. Joseph Esherick and Richard Rutherford, are accomplished clinicians and procedural educators with successful track records who have been teaching this subject material for over 30 years.  Hospital Procedures Consultants will be training practicing hospitalists, emergency physicians, and midlevel providers who are interested in developing their procedural skills.

The lead instructors for this course are energetic and skilled educators who have routinely received stellar post-training evaluations from their respective students.  Their knowledge, dedication, and teaching methodology combine to create a dynamic course for their students.  Hospital Procedures Consultants is now unquestionably the pre-eminent provider of procedural education in hospitalist and emergency procedures.  We are committed to advancing the science of procedural medicine and to training procedurally competent healthcare providers.

Our Hospitalist and Emergency Procedures course includes 12 month access to our online live lectures, 25 full-length procedural videos, and instructional posters.  The course didactics can be completed anywhere and anytime by our students.  Students then attend a one-day or two-day live hands-on procedural training course.  The online CME course provides 11.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)TM and the live one-day course provides up to 10 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 creditTM.  The live CME course qualifies for 16 hours of Trauma CME credit.  The live two-day course provides up to 20 hours of AMA PRA Category 1 creditTM.

Members of the College of Family Physicians of Canada are eligible to receive up to 10 hours (live one-day course) or 20 hours (live two-day course) of MAINPRO-M1 credit for attendance at these courses due to a reciprocal agreement with the American Academy of Family Physicians.
